How the Mighty have Fallen. 

The RCCC have visited Bombay Brassiere several times over the years,  most recently in February 2024 where it scored very well but the May 2026 visitation was definitely not one for the ages. A couple warms ups were had in the dark environs of Sideline Sports Bar beforehand, with much talk of returning after the visitation to teach the locals a lesson on the pool table. Sadly, an elongated dinner scuppered those hopes and dreams…

First issue of the night seemed to be down to staffing – or lackthereof, with only one person front of house and one chef. When the merry man of the RCCC turned up, what was an already busy restaurant, was pushed over the edge. The staff did try their best and the chef even came out to chat but the wait for food was too much. In the usual fashion the RCCC took it upon themselves to re-arrange the furniture on arrival and also head next door to acquire more Kingfishers when the curry house was found lacking in that department. Kudos to IC for keeping the Lads hydrated and happy (until the wait became too much). There were some highlights, with the lazy Susan loaded up with way too many empty Kingfisher bottles and much video evidence thereof posted. After an hour and a half wait for food, a couple members were feeling decidedly “impaired” by the time the food rocked up and the curry only scored a middling 3.8/5 on the curry-o-meter while the service was punished with a 2.3/5 after the looooooong wait. To the credit of the staff, multiple rounds of free poppadoms were circulated, but poppadoms only go so far to satiate a hungry and thirsty RCCC member. 

A Tesla light and show followed in the car park afterwards, keeping up with the dodgy car park action theme that is Bombay Brassiere – last time it was shell tracksuits and pogo sticks,

MD took home the CoTM trophy and certainly showed his commitment and creatively by posting slightly dodgy daily trophy photos throughout May.
